At 18 years old, while working at a local car wash, Mike Bella and a coworker came up with a simple idea to earn some extra cash — mowing residential lawns. Unsure of what career path to pursue, Mike saw real potential in landscaping. That spark led him to enroll in the Landscape Management Program at Owens Community College, where he quickly discovered his passion for the industry. In 2003, Mike launched Bella’s Lawn and Landscape out of his grandmother’s garage in Northwood, Ohio. From day one, his purpose was clear: to deliver high-quality, dependable service and raise the bar for landscaping in the local community.
With the continued growth of the business, Mike set his sights on raising the standard by specializing in full-service commercial landscape management. Recognizing the value of a more strategic and proactive approach commercial clients demand, he expanded his management team and introduced dedicated account managers. This proactive structure ensures not only the routine upkeep of each property, but the comprehensive care and management of the entire landscape ecosystem.

Today, Bella’s Lawn and Landscape is a full-service commercial landscaping company with multiple crews and decades of experience.
